I enjoy original storytelling in front of the camera and behind. 1301 is a micro budget, pandemic era, proof of concept short film with a feature length screenplay ready for development. It was a remarkably positive production with a great cast and fantastic crew. I’m very happy with how it developed.

With a run time of approx 28 min, I would classify the genre of the film as a comedy-mystery. The story revolves around the universally understood premise of a man, Michael, who comes home from work one day to discover that his wife, Rachel, is missing. With no foul play evident, Michael and his dog, Duke, embark on a comedy of errors as he searches his charming little neighborhood for his beloved wife. As the story unwinds however, Michael discovers a hilarious and puzzling supernatural twist – his wife is somehow trapped inside their mailbox!

The film has no foul language or excessive gore. One recent film festival attendee said she likened the film to a funny episode of the Twilight Zone. Another festival patron said it reminded him of the Tim Burton film ‘Beetlejuice’ – with a bouncy score and an intriguing, original story which kept the audience laughing and guessing throughout. The film recently won the coveted “PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARD” at its premiere at the 2022 Reedy Reels Film Festival.
